Condition Grading Guide
Every item listed on DesignedVault is assigned a condition grade before listing. Our grading system is designed to give you a clear, honest picture of exactly what you're purchasing — so there are no surprises when your piece arrives.
Brand New
Wear
No signs of use whatsoever. The item has never been worn, carried, or used in any capacity.
Cosmetic Condition
Pristine condition. No marks, scuffs, scratches, discoloration, or flaws of any kind. All original tags, dust bags, boxes, and accessories included where applicable.
Functionality
Fully functional in every respect. All hardware, zippers, clasps, and components operate as intended. Exactly as it would be found in a brand boutique.
Like New
Wear
Worn once or twice, or tried on and stored carefully. Virtually indistinguishable from new.
Cosmetic Condition
No visible flaws detectable under normal viewing conditions. May have been lightly tried on. Original tags may or may not be present. No odors, staining, or damage of any kind.
Functionality
All components fully functional. Hardware bright and unmarked. Interior lining clean and intact.
Excellent
Wear
Gently used with minimal signs of wear. Has been used but cared for meticulously.
Cosmetic Condition
May have very minor, barely perceptible signs of gentle use — such as very light corner softening on a bag or minimal fading on a tag. No significant marks, stains, odors, or damage. Any minor flaws will be specifically noted in the listing.
Functionality
All hardware, zippers, and closures function perfectly. Interior clean and in excellent condition.
Very Good

Used regularly but well maintained. Shows light, natural signs of use consistent with careful ownership.

Wear
Heavily used with significant visible wear. Priced accordingly to reflect condition. Best suited for buyers seeking a wearable piece at an accessible price point.
Cosmetic Condition
Clearly visible signs of heavy use including significant scuffs, surface wear, fading, marks, or cosmetic imperfections. May have minor repairs or alterations. No structural damage that affects usability. All flaws are thoroughly documented in the listing with multiple photographs.
Functionality
Functional with possible minor issues of a cosmetic nature. Any functional limitations are explicitly disclosed in the listing. Core use of the item is not compromised.
